Ria d'Or won Dressage at Devon's 2001 Young Horse Championship title, won the East Coast USDF Breeders Championships
and was approved in the Premium Mare Book with the Oldenburg NA Registry in 2006.
Ria is a beautiful type with a balance of solid bone and refinement. She is a powerful mare with elevation and scope in her
movement. Her offspring share the same natural elevation and powerful mechanics which have made them ALL Premium
Foals. Ria's offspring tend to be tall (16.2H to 17.1H) with calm dispositions, and have all been black, bay, or gray [Ria appears
to be Homozygous for Black/Bay (EE), and Heterozygous for Gray (Gg)]. Icy River, (Ria's 2008 filly by Ideal) was also a Dressage
at Devon winner, the champion filly at the Fair Hill Breeding Show, and the Champion Filly at her Oldenburg Inspection.
Ria has had 6 foals to date, with the most recent born June 30, 2010. We plan to breed her back and sell her in foal to the
Hanoverian stallion, Peabody. The owner loves her offspring and has several on the farm. Ria was started under saddle 3-4
years ago; and excelled in jumping with beautiful form, excellent scope, and easy ridability. This is a rare opportunity for a
beautiful, proven broodmare with outstanding offspring, and strong bloodlines originating from both sides of her pedigree.
Bred and raised at Hilltop Farm, her sire Riverman is a highly proven stallion for both jumping and dressage. He was Reserve
Champion of his Holsteiner licensing in Germany and was titled “Top Model” due to his exceptional beauty and style. Riverman
delivers this influence to his progeny along with unparalleled expression of gaits and athletic capability. Riverman has
successful offspring in all equestrian disciplines.
Her dam, Cor Dia, descends from one of the original broodmares at Hilltop Farm, the Hanoverian mare, Godvia. Godiva
produced 3 foals who were each awarded the hoghest scores in the country: Phaedra (9.5 by Parabol); Cor Dia (9.5 by Cor Noir);
and Copper Lady (9.0 by Cabaret). Her quality production continued through Cor Dia, who twice won the Produce of Dam class
at Devon, once with a group of foals by Riverman (including Ria d'Or) and the other time with her Contucci offspring. Cor Dia
was a 9.5 premium foal at her Oldenburg ISR inspection, and she received 110 points when she entered into the premium mare
book.
Ria d'Or has delivered a nice string of offspring for Merrifoal Equine Center and Hilltop Farm breeding programs.
